2009 U.S.-EU Summit

The 2009 U.S.-EU Summit took place on November 3-4, 2009 in Washington D.C. Click here to see TABD's Recommendations "Building a Transatlantic Innovation Economy" submitted to the Summit Leaders ahead of their meeting. A joint EU-US Summit Declaration, as well as a press release on the new U.S.-EU Energy Council, was issued following the Summit.

  • Trade Policy Submission 2010

    • TABD recently submitted views on the future direction of EU Trade Policy to DG Trade.   • Associations Submit Policy Papers to TEC

  • TEC Consultation
    • The TransAtlantic Business Dialogue (TABD) is announcing the launch of a further consultation process that it is conducting in support of the Transatlantic Economic Council (TEC).  TEC was created by the US EU Framework agreement agreed in April 2007. The consultation creates an opportunity for stakeholders to review and restate priorities following meetings of the TEC in 2009 and ahead of its next meeting in 2010, which is as yet unscheduled. 

     

    In November 2009 the creation of two specific additional dialogues was announced, a U.S EU Innovation Dialogue and a US EU Energy Council.  These will now supplement the network of technical dialogues in place and already working in conjunction with TEC.  Our expectation is that there will be strong coordination between all of these bodies.  click here to view tec consultation 2010 press release
