 Kathryn Hauser, US Executive Director

Kathryn Hauser is the US Executive Director of the Trans-Atlantic Business Dialogue, an organization of chief executive officers from American and European businesses working together with government leaders to strengthen transatlantic economic relations.  As a result of her leadership in directing its policy agenda and outreach, TABD is widely recognized as the pre-eminent business organization providing advice to the US Government and EU Commission on transatlantic economic issues.
   
Prior to assuming her current position in February 2005, Ms. Hauser held senior-level positions at the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, the Information Technology Industry Council, which represents the major information technology companies, a private investment bank, and Bell Atlantic Corporation (now known as Verizon).  She has extensive experience advocating global technology and trade issues before Congress, the Executive Branch and international organizations.  Ms. Hauser began her career in the Office of the US Trade Representative, and served as Deputy Assistant USTR for Multilateral Negotiations, where she was responsible for US preparations for the Uruguay Round of multilateral trade negotiations. 
Ms. Hauser holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California and an MA from Columbia University .

 Jeffries Briginshaw, EU Executive Director

Born in London, England and educated at Westminster School and University College London, he holds undergraduate degrees in English Literature and Laws and professional qualification as a lawyer. He has been TABD EU Executive Director since 2007.
  
Before joining the TABD, he held positions at British American Tobacco as Head of Political and Regulatory Affairs (2004 – 2007), Head of Corporate Affairs, Latin America and Caribbean, (2001 – 2004), Corporate Affairs Counsel (1999 – 2001), Litigation Counsel, Latin America and Caribbean, (1998- 1999), Assistant General Counsel, Latin America and Caribbean (1996 -1998), Commercial Counsel (1994-1996) and Trademark Counsel (1993-1994). He served as Policy Committee member on behalf of British American Tobacco since 2004. From 1990 to 1993, he worked at the law firm Lovells with the practice area of intellectual property. He has also worked in the public service as Housing Welfare Officer in the London Borough of Lambeth, from 1982 to1986.
    
His voluntary service includes positions as Chairman on the Caribbean Britain Business Council (2002 – 2007), Director of the Caribbean Council (2005 – 2007), Trustee of the Caribbean Foundation (2005 –present) and Director of EKAYA, a hostel for female ex-offenders (1989 – 1991).
