TABD has just released a report, "EU-US Financial Markets - need for cooperation in difficult times," that calls on policymakers to intensify transatlantic cooperation on financial market regulation. According to the report, closer cooperation will carry significant economic benefits.

The 2009 U.S.-EU Summit took place on November 3-4, 2009 in Washington D.C. A joint EU-US Summit Declaration, as well as a press release on the new U.S.-EU Energy Council, was issued following the Summit.

The 4th meeting of the Transatlantic Economic Council (TEC) took place in Washington D.C. on October 26-27, 2009.  In advance of the meeting, a Report on the  EC.-US High Level Regulatory Forum was issued. "We are very encouraged that TEC is back on track", agreed James H.Quigley and Juergen R.
